The story of the game is centered on the invasion of the evil Ultimus and the gathering of Earth heroes (including the large organization of S.T.R.I.K.E) who are willing to defend it. Offline games with AI-controlled players and opposition are fully supported. These modes are Arena ( 5v5 battle), Blitz, Raids (that can feature up to 24 players), Challenges, Alliance War (12 players against one powerful AI), and Versus (1 v 1). The core gameplay features of MARVEL Strike Force for Windows PC are centered around turn-based gameplay with and against other players from all around the world, tactical choices, and taking advantage of the special abilities of the squad of characters that the player is taking control over in several types of online and offline main game modes.
